I'm so honored to be celebrating Junteenth with picture book author Alliah L. Agostini. During our talk, we will be discussing Alliah's important and heartfelt picture book, THE JUNETEENTH STORY, filled with colorful illustrations and a timeline, Alliah's story relays the history of Juneteenth, for kids, and details the evolution of the emancipation celebration, commemorating the date the enslaved people of Texas learned of their freedom. Our talk will go live on June 19th.
I'm thrilled to be sitting down virtually with Author Jake Maia Arlow! Their Pride filled "THE YEAR MY LIFE WENT DOWN THE TOILET" is one of my new 2023 favorite reads! Filled with wonderful LGBTQ+ & Jewish themes that kept my attention from cover to cover! Stay tuned for our talk, it's sure to be amazing!
On June 2nd I'll be interviewing Muzoon Almellehan, a Syrian activist and refugee known for her work helping to keep Syrian girls in school and she is the youngest Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF. May 21st I'll be interviewing one of my newest favorite middle-grade storytellers, author Michael Leali. Michael writes realistic fiction with a hint of magic! His books feel like hugs for your heart and love songs for your soul!
May 7th I'll be interviewing the one-and-only author Dan Guttman! Dan wrote some of my all time favorite trivia books, "Fast Facts!" And, as you can see, Dan and I have similar tastes in shirts & bookish humor!

Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) begins at sundown Monday, April 17. It's a national day of commemoration in Israel & all over the world, on which the 6 million Jews murdered in the Holocaust are memorialized & In honor of this important day, I spoke with 3 people who will help educate & shine a light on why we must never forget what happened during the Holocausts!
